"Ducks defenseman prospect Luca Sbisa was traded from his junior team, the Lethbridge Hurricanes, to the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League on Sunday.

A first-round draft pick in 2008, Sbisa was dealt to Portland with a 2011 WHL draft pick for defenseman Daniel Johnston and forward Jacob Berglund.

Sbisa, 19, appeared in eight games with the Ducks this season before he was returned to Lethbridge. He played for Switzerland in the under-20 World Junior Hockey Championships and was selected to play for Switzerland in next month’s Winter Olympics.

Sbisa has one goal and 12 assists in 17 games with Lethbridge this season. He is reportedly out with an abdominal injury suffered in the world juniors."
